The NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM CES) was developed in response to the growing need for professionals with the ability to assist clients experiencing musculoskeletal impairments, muscle imbalances or rehabilitation concerns. The CES provides the advanced knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully work with clients suffering from musculoskeletal impairments, imbalances or post-rehabilitation concerns.
On successful completion of CPT there is the option for continued personal development within a specialist area. The two CPD courses available are the NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) or the NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES).
Learners will cover: br>
- Eleven modules of information on important corrective exercise including:
- movement assessments
- inhibitory techniques
- muscle activation techniques
- common musculoskeletal impairments
|Entry requirements:||REPs Level 3 qualification|
|Delivery:||Usually delivered through a combination of blended learning and support practical workshops. The study is delivered over a 3 month period.|
|Assessment:||Multiple choice theory exam (3 attempts 70% pass mark)|
